Season Two of "Clanes" Premieres on Netflix on April 3

23/02/2026

The second season of Clanes will premiere on Netflix on April 3, once again placing Galicia — and especially the Rías Baixas — at the center of one of the Spanish productions with the greatest international reach in recent years.

Produced by Vaca Films, the series returns with Clara Lago and Tamar Novas leading the cast and welcomes Galician actor Luis Zahera in this new chapter.

Following the success of its first season — which became the most-watched non-English-language series worldwide during its premiere week, reaching number one in 28 countries — the show continues to showcase Galician territory as one of its main visual and narrative protagonists.

Rías Baixas: Landscape, Identity and Production

The new season was filmed in various locations across Galicia, with a strong presence in Cambados and the Ría de Arousa, settings that once again bring authenticity, character, and visual strength to the story.

Harbors, mussel rafts, historic centers, and coastal landscapes of the Rías Baixas play an essential role in the narrative, reinforcing the connection between fiction and territory. The setting does not merely serve as a backdrop but as a structural element of the plot.

This new production further consolidates Galicia’s capacity to host large-scale audiovisual projects, generating both direct and indirect economic activity in the service sector, technical industries, hospitality, and supporting companies.

A Story That Returns to the Heart of the Estuary

Three years after the events of the first season, Ana and Daniel cross paths again in a context marked by tension and conflicting interests. The sea and the port environment regain prominence in a storyline that delves deeper into family conflicts and power dynamics along the Galician coast.

While Daniel agrees to return to the sea to help his father, Ana comes back to Cambados to collaborate with the rival clan — a decision that could alter the balance in the estuary and permanently change their relationship.

Galicia: An Internationally Projected Setting

The global premiere on April 3 will once again allow millions of viewers worldwide to discover the landscapes of the Rías Baixas through fiction. The series thus strengthens Galicia’s international visibility as an audiovisual destination and as a territory capable of hosting high-level technical and artistic productions.

With this second season, “Clanes” not only continues its story — it reaffirms the strong connection between the audiovisual industry and territory, placing Cambados and the Ría de Arousa firmly on the global streaming map.
